Growing up and working in a family small business for most of his life, Dave learned from his parents the value of a dollar and the economic liberty that income represents for a family. He also saw the strain on small business caused by over regulation and excessive taxation by government, and the impact that loss of liberty has not only on businesses, but on families as well.

Inspired in youth to join the conservative movement by President Reagan, Dave served as an intern on Capitol Hill in college for U.S. Representative Heather Wilson. After graduating college, Dave was hired by Congressman Paul Ryan, whom he then served as an aide for nine years - helping Ryan fight for the conservative cause of limited government - all the while still maintaining a part time job in the private sector. Dave currently works as an agent in his family real estate business.
